Circulation

The library offers lending services for print books, Kindle Fires, laptops, and chess sets. These services can be accessed from the library Information Desk and from other library operational staff.

Reference services

Some of the reference services that the library offers include:

  • Registration of new members,
  • Current Awareness Service and Selective Dissemination of Information.
  • Reservation of Textbooks, Kindle Fires, and Chess sets
  • Electronic document delivery service.

Research Support

  1. Accessing Information resources for research
    The library provides research support to patrons through trainings that can help one develop skills, such as developing search strategy and conducting information searches, evaluating various information sources.
  2. Avoiding plagiarism
    Covers referencing, paraphrasing, and quotation
  3. Referencing and citation management
    Citation managers sometimes called reference managers, help you keep track of your research, organize citations, and create bibliographies. Each tool is different and there isn't one manager that does everything perfectly. So how do you pick the one that is right for you?
  4. Mendeley
    Available on the web and software can be downloaded to laptop/desktop, organize references by folders and tags, creates bibliographies and has a plug-in for creating in-text citations, has dedicated apps for mobile devices.For more information about Mendeley, clickhere[http://mendeley.com]
  5. Zotero
    A web-based, organizes citations by folders, useful for researchers who utilize images. For more information about Zotero, clickhere[https://www.zotero.org/]
  6. Training sessions on data analysis
    Featured training on data analysis is conducted for both large and small groups of patrons. This is aimed at empowering our academics to analyse the data they have without incurring high costs on analysing research data.
  7. Guidance on publishing options
    We provide information on different publishing platforms where our scholars can publish from for example high impact journals, conferences and other open access platforms.

Service for People with Disabilities
Muni University Library is committed to providing access to resources and services for all members of the community, including those with disability and special needs. The library entrance and reading space is convenient for all user groups. Currently the library has provided a dedicated workstation with a computer, including sanitary facilities designed to serve persons with disabilities.
